BABY STEP TO ELECTION AUTOMATION

                As our country prepares for automated national elections, the Philippine Women's University - Quezon City Campus for the first time conducted an election of the Student Council Organization officers using the powers of the cyber world.  All college students cast their votes last Friday, July 31, 2009 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Campus Computer Laboratory.  Fifteen minutes after the closing of the voting process, the Election Committee announced the winners.

CEO ALFREDO B. REYES OPENS EXPANDED FOOD LABORATORY

               July 29, 2009.  CEO Alfredo B. Reyes  formally opens the expanded HRM Food Laboratory at the 1st floor of the College Building.  The expanded laboratory now features Hot and Cool Kitchens and Bakery section.

SECOND TIME AROUND

Proving his concern for the students, CEO Alfredo B. Reyes, conducted another dialogue with the students of PWU-QC.  During the forum, he announced the completion of the campus WIFI network; negotiation is underway with Jollibee regarding the Campus canteen and with the BED Parents Association for the covered court.

 

Dr. Maligalig, Director for Student Affairs and Mr. Velunta of the Finance Office joined the CEO during the open forum wherein the students voiced out their respective issues.

CBIBE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

CBIBE-QC always starts the school year with General Assembly as an initial bonding process.  The CBIBE freshmen and transferees are welcomed by the senior students together with the Department faculty members.

 INTERIM CEO MEETS PWU-QC STUDENTS

Mr. Alfredo B. Reyes, the Chief Executive Officer and Head, Finance and Comptollership of PWU confer with the students of PWU-QC in a Students Dialogue held on March 23, 2009 at the Multi-purpose Hall of the School of Nursing.  This is the first time that a top management officer met students to discuss plans of restructuring of curricular offerings, specifically the Religion and MSCED classes and introduce some strategies to invite new students to the campus.  Dr. Eden O. Kelemen, Dr. Felix E. Asprer, Prof. Edna Dominguez and some faculty members were among those present in the dialogue, but were later asked to leave the hall so he can listen and get first hand information fromstudents themselves.  Mr. Reyes was later joined by Mr. Gene Albert Velunta, AVP Finance and Treasury.  The dialogue lasted for almost two hours...
