          Last Thursday, May 27, 2010, CBIBE Dean Felix E. Asprer, was one of the Guest Speakers of the American Society for Industrial Security - Philippine Chapter Monthly Meeting at the Navy Officers Club, Fort Bonifacio.  The meeting's forum topic was "Industrial Security Management: Education and Profession."

         In his speech, he cited the need to professionalize the discipline's practice because of dynamic and radical changes brought about by technology and economic downtrends on the requirements of providing security and safety.  He said "While your organizations and the TESDA accredited training schools provide the competence and skills you need on daily operation, you need the academe to enhance them in the areas of historica, philosophical, and legal bases for security services."

        "PWU developed a program for you... a program that can provide deeper and wider outlook on role of the security organization and security personnel in modern society, concepts of professionalism and ethics, types and functions of security operations and counterterrorism."

Moving Up.  JASMS' Senior Kindergarten Moving Up Program was held on March 19, 2010 at the PWU-JASMS Q.C. Audio Visual Room.  Each of the fourteen (14) children had a special part in the program, which include songs and short speeches and reflections of their school life.

 

Mr. Alfredo B. Reyes, CEO and Member of thePWU Board of Trustees, grace the occasion with a message.  He was assisted by Ms. Diana Cynthia G. Gutierrez, Principal, Basic Education in the distribution of the certificates.

 

A special recognition was given to Julian Enrique L. Cruz, who was with JASMS since his Nursery days.

 

Special credits is given to Teachers Florcefida Singh, Celia Navarro, Katrina Sarmiento and Aileen Brenn Lee for their efforts in nurturing and molding these children to become better persons.

CBIBE-QC DEAN NOW A DIPLOMATE IN BUSINESS EDUCATION

Dr. Felix E. Asprer, Dean, Conrado Benitez Institute of Business Education (CBIBE) has been accredited by the Philippine Academy of professionals in Business Education (PAPBE) as Diplomate in Business Education during the 9th Convention on March 12, 2010, held at the Lyceum of the Philippines University, Intramuros, Manila.

 

On the same occasion, two CBIBE-QC faculty members were also given recognition, namely, Dr. Victor F. David, accredited as Fellow in Business Education and Prof. Nancy M. Felipe, for her contribution to the Business Educators Forum, PCDEB's Official Journal as Associate Editorfor the last five years.

 

Professor Bernard Delfin of HRM-QC was also accredited as Fellow in Business Education and elected PRO of ECOD-NCR, the NCR Chapter of PCDEB.
